Under my own Cat-Head Comics imprint in the 80s & 90s, I have published a stack of titles including Dog Boy, Buzzard, Mean Cat, Duck & Cover, Femme Noire, Prometheus' Gift and Bughouse.

Dog Boy aslo enjoyed a ten issue run published by Fantragraphics.

Working with Top Shelf Productions, I produced the three volume Bughouse trilogy (Bughouse, Baja and Scalawag).

Offered here are some of my current titles under my own Manx Media imprint.

My next graphic novel, El Vocho, will be published in 2010. After El Vocho comes out, my back catalog will all be issued in new editions as Manx Media titles.

El Vocho
The new graphic novel from Steve Lafler

I am posting regular updates to El Vocho in it's own blog as the book progresses. El Vocho will be issued as a graphic novel for sale in bookstores and comic shops upon it's completion.
In the past, I have published comic magazines to chart the progress of my graphic novels.
Now, in these days of electronic media, I can reach far more readers in an efficient fashion by posting the work in progress.

FYI - In Mexico, a VW bug is referred to as a "Vocho". In Mexico and Brazil, the classic bug was in production until 2004!

Here's the graphic for the El Vocho T Shirt.

'They call it the Vocho down in Mexico
Some are kinda old and some are kinda slow
Don't matter none cause them Bugs got soul
And low gear torque that'll pull the load'

-Ballad of the Bug, my country blues tune that goes with the book.
